A great novelty arrives on the Mercado Libre platform: Brands, through their official stores, can now have multiple addresses, corresponding to different locations, which will have the range of products available so that Mercado Libre users can make their purchases and decide where to go to pick up the product.

Bridgestone, a company in continuous innovation

It is Bridgestone, the tire manufacturer company. It was founded in 1931 by Shojiro Ishibashi in Kurume City, Fukuoka in Japan. The company set itself the goal of becoming one of the top three manufacturers of rubber products in the world. As part of this strategy, Bridgestone purchased a Tennessee tire plant, Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, which became the company's first North American manufacturing facility. Bridgestone began production of radial truck and bus tires at the plant in 1983. In May 1988, Bridgestone acquired The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, transforming Bridgestone into one of the largest tire and rubber companies in the world.

From there, he began to dream of the future of the Bridgestone Group: to become a truly global company and establish the Bridgestone brand as the undisputed number one brand in the world in name and substance.

In Argentina, it all started in 1915, when the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. of the United States decided to install in the country, a branch to sell tires and accessories. The video shows a summary of its history.

Aleph, the solution that accompanies Bridgestone's new e-commerce strategy.

At the beginning of 2018, the Bridgestone tire company, through Aleph and toghether with Mercado Libre, launched a solution that allows buyers of Mercado Libre's ecommerce platform to select the option "Pickup at Bridgestone branch" at the moment of purchasing a product. Unlike receiving the product at home and that the brand, through the Official Store, makes the shipment by mail, it is the buyer who will decide the delivery point that he wishes to involve to pick up the product. More than 100 tire facilities from all over the country will be part of this new shopping experience.

Bridgestone has two solutions implemented: the first called Aleph Brand, a software that allows the administration of the product catalog, the creation of price lists and the updating of stock. The second, called Aleph Official Store, the module that allows the management of the operations of the Official Store and keeps the information synchronized with the Mercado Libre platform with each update of the catalog, price and stock of products.

In addition, as a great novelty, each tire store has the Aleph PickUp Point solution. A software module that allows them to receive the sales generated in Mercado Libre and assign the order to them, according to the buyer's choice. In addition to preparing and delivering the product, they will be able to provide additional services such as installation, alignment, balancing and rotation, among others.
